Chicks with Bricks was created in 2005 by two women in architecture, Pascale Scheurer and Holly Porter.

Our first event was held on International Women's Day at the Royal College of Art and brought together 200 women from all sectors of construction for dinner, drinks and debate.
Our speakers were Rt Hon Patricia Hewitt MP, then Secretary of State for Trade and Industry, and Zoe Blackler, features editor of BD magazine.

Our second event took place on October 10th at the Gherkin. Speakers were Sara Fox, the client project manager for the Gherkin itself, and Sarah Ebanja, who led the £700 million Arsenal development in Islington.
